Karin Denise grew up in the small town of
Vallejo, located in California's beautiful San Francisco Bay area. She
was one of 6 children. Her mother always wanted to be a dancer, but her
dream never came true, as she was too busy maintaining a home for her
family. So it was pre-ordained that Karin Denise would fulfill that
dream, not only for mom but also for herself! She started training at a
very young age. Her training consisted of voice, Ballet, Jazz, Tap,
Acrobats, Hip Hop, and Street dancing.
After many years of hard, extensive training Karin took the initiative
to apply her talents into professional practice.
With the greatest ambition, determination and courage, Karin packed her
bags and headed for Las Vegas. Karin landed her first professional job
as an acro-dancer in the “Follies Bergere”. After working in various
dance reviews, Karin met up with a dance troop called “The Dancin’
Machine”. She was so enthused with the different dance styles this group
portrayed; she knew this would be a great opportunity to further her
entertainment skills. Again, Karin’s determination not only landed her
an audition, but got her a job in this exciting Dance Troop. It was
voted best lounge act in Las Vegas for 5 years in a row! She toured all
over the world with Dancin Machine achieving worldwide recognition.
Karin was one of the first 5 dancers picked to be in the legendary movie
“Staying Alive”, starring John Travolta, and produced by Sylvester
Stallone. She became friends with Sly, and he got her the SAG card
needed to do the movie. Karin had a leading role in the movie “Knights
of the City”. She was also asked to sing the tracts for the title song.
